Product’s Details:
- NRD 2mg Sterile Noradrenaline Concentrate Injection is used to restore blood pressure in acute hypotensive states. It must be administered via a central line after correcting blood volume, with Phentolamine as an antidote for extravasation.
- Precautions:
- Hypersensitivity to noradrenaline or sulfites (if present)
- Mesenteric or peripheral vascular thrombosis (unless life-saving)
- Hypovolemia not corrected with fluids
- Always correct blood volume before starting noradrenaline
- Infusion must be through a central line
- Antidote for extravasation: Phentolamine infiltration around site
- Storage:
- Store below 25°C
- Protect from light
- Do not freeze
- Use diluted solution immediately or within 24 hours if stored properly
- Discard if solution is discolored or contains particles
