• Drosone 100 mg Injection is a hydrocortisone formulation used for urgent conditions like adrenal crisis, severe allergies, shock and serious inflammatory disorders. It is typically administered intravenously in emergencies for rapid effect.
• Short-term use with careful monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar and electrolytes is recommended and gradual tapering is essential after prolonged therapy to prevent adrenal insufficiency.
• Usage:
  • Reconstitute sterile powder with ≤2 mL sterile (bacteriostatic) water or saline to yield 100 mg solution.
  • For IV infusion: mix 100 mg–3 g into 50–1000 mL crystalloid; stable up to 4 hours.
  • Administer intravenously in emergencies such as adrenal crisis, severe allergies, shock and serious inflammatory conditions.
• Precaution:
  • Assess electrolytes, blood sugar, blood pressure and fluid status during therapy.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for short-term treatment taper gradually after prolonged use.
