• Ppneta 40mg is a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce gastric acid secretion. It is primarily used when oral administration is not feasible, especially in acute care settings.
• Indications / Uses:
  • Peptic ulcer disease (PUD)
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Erosive esophagitis
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
  • Stress ulcer prophylaxis in ICU patients
  • Gastric protection in NSAID therapy
• Common Side Effects:
  • Headache, flatulence
  • nausea, diarrhea
  • Injection site reactions (pain, redness)
• Rare but Serious:
  • Hypomagnesemia (long-term use)
  • Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency with prolonged use
  • Acute interstitial nephritis
• Storage:
  • Store vials below 25°C
  • Protect from light
  • Use reconstituted solution within 12 hours (if stored at 2–8°C)
