• This medicine is used to treat various bacterial infections, including those of the lungs (pneumonia), stomach and urinary tract. It is administered intravenously by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered.
• Mechanism of Action:
  • Bac Cef combines Ceftazidime and Avibactam to fight bacteria. Ceftazidime kills bacteria by blocking cell wall formation, while Avibactam protects it from resistant bacterial enzymes, making it effective against serious infections like pneumonia, urinary tract and stomach infections.
• Usage / Application:
  • Treats serious bacterial infections (pneumonia, stomach, urinary tract).
  • Administered intravenously by a doctor or nurse only.
• Storage:
  • Store powder below 25°C
  • Reconstitute with sterile water or NS
  • protected from light
  • Further dilute and administer via slow IV infusion over 2 hours
