Product’s Details:
- Azenot 2000 mg Injection contains Aztreonam, a monobactam antibiotic effective against Gram-negative bacteria. It is often used in patients with beta-lactam allergy and in severe systemic infections, including febrile neutropenia, urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, and intra-abdominal infections.
- Indications / Uses:
- Febrile neutropenia (empiric therapy, especially when Gram-negative coverage is needed)
- Complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections
- Lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Gynecological infections
- Septicemia caused by susceptible Gram-negative bacteria
- Side Effects:
Common:- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
- Rash or injection site reactions
- Elevated liver enzymes
Serious:
- Hypersensitivity reactions (rare, but possible cross-reactivity with beta-lactams)
- Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
- Hepatic dysfunction
- Storage:
- Store dry vials at 2–25°C, protected from light and moisture
- Use reconstituted solution immediately or refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 24 hours
- Do not freeze
