Product’s Details:
- Qvasp (Vasopressin 20 Unit Injection) is a synthetic hormone that mimics natural vasopressin, responsible for regulating water balance and maintaining blood pressure. It is used in managing vasodilatory shock, controlling excessive urination and thirst in diabetes insipidus, and reducing bleeding in esophageal varices by constricting blood vessels.
- Mechanism of Action: Vasopressin acts on V1 receptors in blood vessels to induce vasoconstriction, thereby raising blood pressure. It also acts on V2 receptors in the kidneys to promote water reabsorption and restore fluid balance.
