Product’s Details:
- Meropenem is a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic belonging to the beta-lactam class. It works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) to inhibit bacterial cell wall formation and is bactericidal against a wide variety of Gram-positive, Gram-negative and anaerobic bacteria.
- Mechanism of Action:
- Meropenem works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) in bacteria, which are essential for building the bacterial cell wall. By inhibiting cell wall synthesis, it weakens and ultimately kills the bacteria. This makes Meropenem effective against a wide range of Gram-positive, Gram-negative and anaerobic bacteria.
